1. Power up the W700V, reset the W700V to factory defaults: Hold down the reset button (on the bottom of the device) for at least ten (10) seconds. Use a toothpick or an unbent paper clip.
2. Solely connect the W700V to your computer.
3. Setup the Local Area Connection to obtain an IP address automatically (within properties of the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)).
4. Launch your web browser, enter https://192.168.2.1 as the web site address.
5. The configuration program of the W700V should start. Click [>> Konfiguration starten].
6. Next, enter 0000 as the password.
7. The start page will be shown. Click >Netzwerk, then >>Wireless LAN (WLAN).
8. Select the settings as shown below. Click [Speichern<<] to save the settings.
9. Click >Sicherheit (on the left) and then >>SSID & Verschlüsselung
10. Change the SSID (name of your WLAN) to eg. haiimran. You will further identify your WLAN by that name (when setting up the WLAN connection of your computer).
11. Change the Pre-shared key (PSK) to someting unique only known by you, but remeber it (use at least 12 character for security).
Do not use the settings shown. These are the defaults of my W700V.
12. Again, click [Speichern<<] to save the settings.
13. Click [>Netzwerk] (on the left) and then >>DHCP-Funktion.
14. Change "Betriebszustand" to (*) Aus (off). Again, click [Speichern<<].
15. Click [>Beenden] on the left to finish.
16. Disconnect the W700V from your computer and connect it also via one of the LAN ports to your Alice DSL Modem.
17. Setup the WLAN connection on your computer. Identify your WLAN by its name (haiimran) and use the (remebered!) pre-shared key as the passphrase.

But when i connect my alice DLS to LAN1 port of speedport, am not able to browse the internet.

my WLAN search and connection works.

my doubt is, when i use directly ALICE, i have to enter username and password. where am i entering those things when i connect through Speedport WLAN?

Sorry, I don't know exactly, how this direct connection to Alice is set up. May be you must setup it again, now using the WLAN connection instead of the LAN connection used before. Disable the LAN connection for doing that.
(I'm using a router for my internet access, which is not by Alice, too.)

Hello

Thank you for the feedback.

My operating system is windows XP.

So to configure Alice-Light, what I did is, go to control panel -> network
connection -> Create a new connection and then setup a PPPoe connection with the username and password given by alice.This connection creates a shortcut to my desktop, to connect i have to double click this and say "connect", that is it.
now i was able to setup the wireless ,but somehow its not connecting to internet.
